What is it that the child has to teach?

The child naively believes that everything should be fair and everyone should be honest, that only good should prevail, that everybody should have what they want and there should be no pain or sadness. The child believes the world should be perfect and is outraged to discover it is not.

And the child is right.

Everyone Counted, Counts! – Tshwane's First Homeless Count

This landmark research report presents the findings of the first official city-wide homeless count conducted in Tshwane in October 2022. Led by the Unit for Street Homelessness under the Centre for Faith and Community at the University of Pretoria, the count provides critical data to inform evidence-based interventions and shape future strategies to address homelessness across the city. The report affirms a simple but powerful truth: every person matters.
